How does it work?Students gather pledges Sept. 28th - Oct. 26th. It's easiest to ask for a flat donation, rather than a certain amount per lap. All checks should be made to Flagstaff Academy PTO. Click on "Sample Pledge Letter" above, for a document you can customize to email/send to out-of-state family & friends. All donations are tax deductible, and there is a link above, for a "Receipt" your sponsors can use for tax purposes. Also, check with your employer for their "Corporate Match" program guidelines.

All Students Participate - Like participating in P.E., students are encouraged to jog, run or walk, according to their abilities, but regardless of whether they have collected pledge donations. Students will run with their grade level on a 1/10th mile course around the grassy field located between the playground and the school. For medical conditions, click on the "FAQ" page above.
Prizes are Awarded for Pledges - Prizes will be awarded to students based on donations collected. There will also be a prize for the girl and boy in each class who runs the most laps. Prizes will be delivered to students before Winter Break. |

Be a Cheerleader
Show your pride in your student Oct 19th. Click on "Jogging Schedule" at the top of this page. Also, make sure you decorate the "Dragon Dash Shoe" with their name and encouraging words. All shoes will be displayed in the school entry hall. The kids love to try to find theirs among the 900!

Each family has a reason we picked Flagstaff instead of a neighborhood school . . . Is it a particular teacher on our exceptional staff? How Can I Help?Day of the Event Volunteers: We're looking for about 50 volunteers to help with water stations, warm up, timing chips, snacks, setup & cleanup, course maintenance, first aid station & photography.

Help your Student Set a Goal: We're asking our students this year to do "Whatever it Takes" and connect with their belief in themselves. Ask your student what they believe they can achieve this year now that they're one grade older. And for the fundraising portion of the event, we'll be awarding PRIZES to students who collect donations. Our first level starts at only $35, so everyone can win! |
