PTO Board Members make up our Executive Team. We are volunteers who help make sure all events sponsored by the PTO run smoothly! Each member either leads a team of volunteers or is a member of a team. A “Member At-Large” joins the Executive Team running a committee, bringing the necessary information to the entirety of PTO Executive Board.
We come from a variety of backgrounds—working parents, stay-at-home caregivers, and community members—all united by our commitment to supporting Flagstaff students, teachers, and families. Whether organizing events, managing communications, or coordinating volunteers, each board member plays a key role in creating the positive impact PTO has on our school community. We’re always excited to welcome new faces and fresh ideas!
Hi! I’m Kate Silva, and this is my seventh year as part of the Flagstaff PTO. I started my volunteering journey as a room parent when our daughter was in kindergarten. When she moved into 1st grade, I stayed on in that role but also jumped into community events—Fall Festival was my first big one, and I was hooked!
I originally joined the PTO because I wanted to be part of our amazing school—and to find my people. It turns out the PTO is the perfect place for both. I found people that are now part of my world, that I may not have found otherwise and it combines my passion for building community with my love of organization and purpose-driven work.
When I’m not running around the school doing all the PTO things, you’ll find me working full-time for St. Vrain Valley School District as the Guest Teacher Coordinator in the HR office at the Education Services Building. And when I'm not working or PTO-ing, I’m just trying to keep up with a very busy 6th grader—whether it’s shuttling between after-school activities, hang outs or co-leading our daughter’s Girl Scout Troop (anyone need cookies??).
Being part of this school community is what drives me—and I’m so thankful to be part of it.
Hi I’m Cassie Koyle! I’m a proud Flagstaff parent of two little dragons—one in 1st and one in kindergarten—and this is my fourth year as part of the school community. This will be my third year on PTO, I’ve contributed my background in website management and marketing to the Communications Team. I love bringing updates to life, creating engaging content, and helping connect parents, caregivers, and sponsors. Whilst chasing tiny dragons I enjoy gardening, spending time outdoors, and roasting s’mores in our backyard.
This is my third year on the PTO Board. My family is new to the Flagstaff community, having moved here last year. I have three children at Flagstaff in grades 8, 6, and 3. Outside of all things PTO, I teach at Mead High School, enjoy running and coaching cross-country through Longmont Rec, and I help out in my daughters’ Girl Scout troops. Having recently relocated to Colorado, I spend my time exploring the outdoor and water activities in the area and taking cross-country camping trips with my family.
Hi! I’m Amber Blose, and this is my 9th year as a Flagstaff Academy parent. My son started at Flagstaff in Pre-K and is now entering 7th grade. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to be deeply involved in our school community, first as a Room Parent for five years and then through a variety of PTO roles starting in 2019, including Wellness Coordinator, Member at Large, and now as Treasurer for the past two years.
Outside of work, I love hiking, camping, mountain biking, cooking, reading, and traveling. Nature is my happy place, and I love finding ways to recharge and explore new places with my family.
I got involved with the PTO because I truly believe in being part of the culture that shapes our children’s learning experience. I love having a voice in how we support our school, staff, and teachers. Being actively involved in the place where my son will grow and thrive through 8th grade is also incredibly important to me. It's a privilege to help build a positive and connected community here at Flagstaff.
Meet Lisa Munro! This year marks Lisa’s fourth year as a proud Flagstaff Academy parent and her second year serving on the PTO. After working with the fundraising committee last year, she is absolutely thrilled to be leading our Fundraising Events for the 2026–2027 school year! Lisa and her husband, Will, have two kids at Flagstaff—a third grader and a first grader.
Professionally, Lisa is the Director of Development for the United States Equestrian Team Foundation, where she oversees fundraising efforts in the Western U.S. to support athletes on their pathways to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Championships, PanAmerican Games, and more. Given her career in philanthropy, stepping into a leadership role with the PTO was a natural fit. She loves being able to use her skills to support Flagstaff's incredible teachers, students, classrooms, and spectacular programs.
Before diving into the PTO, Lisa spent eight years on the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association executive board. When she isn’t volunteering or working, she is an avid equestrian and outdoor lover. She has a horse named Cat (whom she’s owned for 22 years!), a cat named Horse, a dog named Mustang, and a dog named Zaldi (which means horse in Basque!). Lisa also loves gardening, traveling (Paris is her absolute favorite city), and making Belgian waffles for Sunday afternoon snacks.
Greetings! This is my fourth year on the Flagstaff PTO. For the first three years, I led our Dining for Dragons fundraising partnership program and came in second twice in our spring bundt cake eating contest. This year, I am leading our efforts in Dragon Wellness, building on our success 100 Mile Club program for our Flagstaff community. I am the proud father of two Dragons - Rose in fifth grade and Reed in third grade. I also serve as the President of the Board of Directors of Flagstaff Academy. In my free time, you will find me in hiking in the mountains or at one of Colorado's fine music venues.
Hi! I'm Meredith Coursen, and this is my third year as a member of the PTO. I am the Hospitality Team Lead and a member of the Executive Committee. I have two children at Flagstaff Academy—one in 2nd grade and one in 3rd grade—and feel so fortunate to be part of this amazing school community.
I'm a licensed physical therapist, though I'm currently not working in that role. In my free time, I enjoy running, skiing, golfing, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I joined the PTO to become more active in the Flagstaff Academy community and have truly enjoyed getting to know the wonderful staff and FA families through my role in Hospitality. I’m excited to continue supporting our school in meaningful and fun ways!
Jessica Drelles is the parent of a 7th grader and is excited to serve as the Grants Committee Chair this year. She has been involved with the PTO since the 2020–21 school year and has enjoyed taking on a variety of roles, including Vice President, Secretary, Events Committee member, and helping with Dining for Dragons.
Outside of PTO, Jessica works at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Pre-Transfer Advising Specialist. She enjoys being part of the PTO because it gives her the chance to give back to the Flagstaff community and connect with teachers, staff, and other parents.
